About

19Editions is an independent press founded by Nour Sabbagh and Rhea Karam in 2026. Born from a decade of collaboration shaped by a shared passion for books, paper, walls and making, and fueled by a complex attachment to their native Lebanon.

The practice is rooted in two distinct but convergent trajectories: Nour's work as the founder of Storm Books in Brooklyn, a community-driven bookstore and cultural reference point for the SWANA region; and Rhea's practice as a visual artist working across printmaking, street interventions, and book making, with a focus on the artist book as an art form.

Functioning as both archive and press, 19 is committed to personal and collective narratives in direct relationship with a homeland—whether anchored in place or shaped by diaspora, engaging with the complexities that unfold in between. The practice approaches publishing as a site for experimentation and critical thought, emphasizing research, memory, and preservation.

19Editions is based in between New York and Paris.
